Refugee camps located in Syria, Iraq and Lebanon are particularly vulnerable to extreme weather conditions. With each winter, the difficulties for IDP camp residents worsen. In previous years, torrential rains have caused damage to tents and the cold has only added to the suffering of displaced Syrians.

Starting this fundraiser will provide money for emergency aid to the people in need.

Syria's civil war began in March 2011 and continues to this day. It has resulted in the world's largest wave of refugees and internally displaced persons - currently 6.7 are internally displaced and a further 6.8 million have settled outside Syria, mostly in Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq. According to 2021 UNHCR statistics, 70% of Syrian migrants live in poverty.
